Bio: Colin Ward was born and raised in Wembley, England, surrounded by the vibrancy of London’s streets. His father’s love for painting influenced him from an early age, but it was receiving a camera at age eight that truly ignited his passion for capturing the world.
Colin’s career initially led him into manufacturing management, but the pull of art was strong. After retiring, he returned to creativity with a focus on photography. Now living in Athens, Georgia, Colin uses a digital camera to capture the beauty in everyday life. He enjoys taking on various photography projects, each reflecting a connection to his surroundings and personal interests.
Colin is drawn to photos of people and portraits, often in a very creative style. Those who view his art are invited to experience the world through his eyes. Colin aims to connect more deeply with his audience and believes in art’s role in inspiring reflection and wonder.
Colin has shown his work in galleries and events, mainly in Florida: The Dali Museum, Miami Art Week, Five Deuces Gallery, The ArtsXchange, Decagon Gallery and others. Since relocating to Athens, Colin’s work has been exhibited at the Hartwell Photography Show, Athica, Atlanta Photography Group, and Wintersville Cultural Center. His work has been published in several magazines.
