In January, 2024, I retired from working in higher education at an access institution, providing oversight for students who have developmental English and/or math requirements.
I now have more time to write, take walks, do Pilates, solve word puzzles, binge on Acorn TV, and read (incessantly).
I have three grown children, all amazing humans who are flourishing as they create meaningful lives and communities. And in May, 2024, I became a grandmother. Oh, my heart!
My first novel was Reawakening Rebekah: The Gift of the CLAMOR Girls, and I wrote the stage play version of it as a result of a creative collaboration with the Theatre Department of Columbus State University (GA). They included the play in their 2015-2016 season, and Athens Creative Theatre included it in their 2019-2020 season. There is nothing quite like seeing your words enacted on the stage.
My second novel, A Rose in Little Five Points, was released October, 2023, and I’m working on a third novel.
I have also written a children’s story about the unlikely friendship between a butterfly and a dragonfly, and hope to see it published one day.
