Lizzie Z. Saltz started Sugar Und Salt Designs after staining a favorite garment figuring out how to fix it artfully. She then learned of the enormous part fiber takes in pollution mass; its the #2 industry filling landfills. She transforms clothes into one-of-a-kind, eco-friendly artful wearables thru alterations such as dying, markers, bleaching and fabric painting. She loves refurbishing discards into unique wearables that consumers take pleasure in owning. Her work creates joy and raises awareness of how artists and consumers can make a difference.

She earned her MFA from San Jose State in California in 1993 and has worked as a Curator, Art Critic and artist in many mediums ever since. She founded ATHICA (Athens Institute for Contemporary Art) in 2002 and served as its Director for a decade, overseeing 45 exhibits. She has published in Flagpole Magazine and Art Papers Magazine among others.
