I’m 75 years old and been a resident of Athens for almost four years.
Grew up in Covington, Kentucky, just across from Cincinnati, Ohio. Spent over 15 years in various photographic positions, including a commercial studio with a pardner.
Moved to West Virginia in 1981 with wife and stepdaughter and built a house, gardened, any work in the contracting business. My wife and I operated a bookstore/video rental store for almost 20 years. In 2005 I purchased a digital camera and got back into photography. I have exhibited in many shows around the country and had several solo shows. Along the way have won numerous awards, including Best of Show 2008 Exhibit at the Huntington Museum of Art, Huntington, WV.
Our son and his wife moved to Athens 14 years ago and we decided to be nearer to them. Since we established residence in Athens, I have had 3 solo shows in the area and also most recently won an honorable mention in the Art Center of Hartwell’s Photography Exhibition.
