Haley Indorato is an artist from Rochester, NY currently living in Athens, GA. In 2022 she received her BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology, and is currently working on her MFA at the University of Georgia. She has participated in residencies at the New York Academy of Art, has been selected for competitive juried shows including the 68th and 69th Juried Finger Lakes Artists Show at the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester. Indorato has participated in other juried shows across New York in Rochester, Buffalo, Auburn, and New York City and has started exhibiting in Georgia as well, so far in Athens and Augusta.

Her work is influenced by themes and subjects traditional to oil painting. Indorato is concerned with painting’s role in depicting fact and fiction. Constructed fantasy worlds exploring escapism, coupled with people, places, and things from real life. She uses painting’s illusionistic nature to both reflect on and escape the absurdity of everyday American society. She believes the combination of realism and distortion in paint can broach deeper truths about contemporary life.
