I’m Valley, like the landform. yes, it is my given name.
I am an artist from Athens, Georgia.
I find my inspiration from wildlife and the contortion and study of anatomy. my life as a wildlife rehabber and caretaker gave me a front row seat in the trials and drama of wildlife anatomy while I was providing the care they needed. I continue to watch and admire the autonomy and intelligence of animals living in the wild and hope to emanate that individualism in my art.
I use small pens to create realistic, yet stylistically flared, portraits and scenes. using such intricate utensils allows me to focus and really study the detail in animals and monster anatomy alike.
