My recent work has focused on constructing sculptural headpieces that use bird imagery. The pieces are felted using both needle and wet felting techniques, with the additional embellishment of beading. I am also interested in two dimensional pieces using a variety of materials such as painted paper, fiber, fabric, and found objects. In the past I have worked with quilts, book formats, and silk screening on fabric. I love detail and variety of surface. I like for my work to have a graphic impact along with intimate details and multiple layers that take time to discover. I am interested in expressing a sense of narrative and transformation through pattern, color, and image.
