Laura Floyd is a mostly-self-taught artist with a background in graphic design and set painting for theater. Working mainly in acrylics, her colorful representational style has developed over decades of experimentation. Her work has frequently been seen around the Athens area at Lyndon House, OCAF, TinyAth Gallery, and over a decade of theater productions by Arts Oglethorpe. Her mixed media painting Black Angus on Morton Road is currently on loan at the State Capitol as part of the statewide Art of Georgia exhibition, and Sunshine Village Gallery in Watkinsville has a series of her small works for sale.
