Abby Kacen, also known as Mild Pain, is a cartoonist, zinester, & illustrator from Athens, GA, whose work is inspired by punk rock & DIY culture. Her fictional and semi-auto bio stories borrow from personal experience to explore identity, memory, and emotional growth themes. Kacen self-publishes her work and curates compilation zines. She is interested in accessible art & collaboration and primarily works in inks, watercolor, and digital art.
Kacen’s work has been sold at Bizarro-Wuxtry and Avid Bookshop, and has been a featured artist in Flagpole Magazine, at The World Famous and Creature Comforts, and has a mural inside Nuçi’s Space.
