I am a painter and draftsman based in Athens, GA, currently pursuing my Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Georgia. Before moving here I lived and worked as an artist in Asheville, NC for eleven years. I got my BFA at UNC Asheville and my solo exhibit “Mythic Images” featured contemporary mythological narrative paintings that integrate contemporary topics such as climate change and discussions around race and gender with classical mythology. More recently my work has been exploring intimate subjects closer to my day-to-day life and delving further into abstraction and ‘fragmented’ pictorial space.
